After graduating from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2010 with a degree in Asian Literature & Language, Josh started at the Hospitality Center as a volunteer and furniture intern looking to connect to Chinese students using his Mandarin. Since then, he has been a “Josh-of-all-trades” performing to some extent, nearly every role in the organization. In 2016, he met and eventually married the volunteer coordinator, Sarah, and they are enjoying raising their first child, Liliana Joy. In his free time, he loves landscaping, photography, camping, and soccer. Josh is excited to lead the organization using the gifts and strengths God has given him. Kim sensed a call on her life to full-time Christian ministry during her college years and has loved the assignments the Lord has given her. She had the privilege of serving as a missionary for 20 years in Ecuador, South America. Kim also served as a mission and outreach director; during that time she had the privilege of traveling to Africa, Asia and Latin America. Through this exposure, a love for the peoples and cultures of the world developed in her heart. Kim lives in Maple Grove with her pastor husband, and they have four adult children and many grandchildren. Contact Kim at kim@thehospitalitycenter.org |
God greatly impacted Jon through his time studying abroad in Xiamen in 2009. After graduating from college, he taught English and served alongside Chinese brothers and sisters in China from 2011–2017. He has returned to Minnesota to get a degree in theology so that he can better love God and serve others. When he isn’t studying or working, he enjoys tickle fights with his sons and good food with his wife. Contact Jon at jonathan@thehospitalitycenter.org |
Kyle has traveled to both Central America and Asia to enjoy vacations as well as mission trips. His love for the world and its many cultures has grown ceaselessly since his internship with a missionary organization based in Costa Rica during the summer of 2017. He and his wife, Kambria, enjoy trying new foods, watching K-dramas (Korean), experiencing new cultures and serving God. Kyle is excited to see what God will do with the Hospitality Center and their mission to reach all 10,000 international students in the Twin Cities. Contact Kyle at kyle@thehospitalitycenter.org |

In September 2012 Holmes attended Indiana University, Bloomington, to participate in a PhD program. While there, he was led to a Lutheran church where he heard a law and gospel sermon for the first time in his life. He started to realize how sinful humans are and how sweet the gospel is. He received a call and began his seminary study on September 2016. He is now doing his internship at The Hospitality Center and his desire is to build lifelong friendships with the international students while sharing the love of Jesus with them. He loves Chinese food, enjoys fishing a lot, and is a big fan of the NBA. Contact Holmes at holmes@thehospitalitycenter.org. |
