FRI. - SUN, May 27-29thJoin Wild Hearts Adventures and Hospitality Center volunteers for an epic weekend journey canoeing and camping along the beautiful St. Croix River from Taylors Falls, Minnesota to William O’Brien State Park. Each day will include around 4 hours of canoeing downstream on the St. Croix River. You will spend two nights camping in a tent in the outdoors. Sign up with your friend or come ready to meet and share this special experience with new friends. You won't regret going on this trip! |
SATURDAY, May 28th 2-5:30PMArchery is one of the oldest arts practiced—come and give it a try at Elm Creek. An expansive, 30-acre archery range is on the northwest side of the park. There is a walk-through course as well as targets set at various distances and an elevated platform. |
Thur. - Sat. June 2nd- 5thJoin us for a wondrous 4-day backpacking adventure on MN’s Superior Hiking Trail. It is moderately strenuous, but well worth the effort! We will travel approximately 13 miles with full packs, camping 3 nights along the trail. The area that we will be in is some of the most spectacular in the state of Minnesota with dense forest, scenic vistas of Lake Superior, tall, rocky outcroppings, and beautiful forest streams. |
SATURDAY, June 5th, 9:30 AM-2PMJoin us for a great day at Lake Independence Baker Park picnic ground. A friendly group of Chinese and American friends are hosting this picnic for anyone who wants to meet some friends, enjoy kayaking or canoeing and share a picnic meal together.

SATURDAY, June 11th, 9:15-2PMLebanon Hills Regional Park is in Eagan, Minnesota, just south of Minneapolis. This park offers miles of trails and many lakes for year-round outdoor sports, recreation and environmental education. This will be a good time to meet new people, enjoy a picnic at the park, hike a little bit, and get outside during the beautiful summer months of Minnesota. Hosted by Metropolitan Baptist Church. |
SATURDAY, June 11th, 4-11PMBaseball is a popular American summer sport that you should experience at least one time while you're here. The game will last from around 7–9:30. Before the game, you will get to enjoy a BBQ with the volunteers from Real Church. Come enjoy watching the Saint Paul Saints play and have this unique cultural experience! |
SAT. June 25th, 7:15 AM-8:30PMCome with The Hospitality Center to explore Duluth and the North Shore. We will be visiting some of the most popular spots along the North Shore such as Canal Park, Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. We will also stop by Betty's Pies to grab lunch and try one of their "world famous" pies. Cost: $60/person for individual. $50/person for two or more. |
sATURDAY JUNE 26th- 16thCome for a time of yard games, pizza, and painting at Wabun Picnic Area - very near to Minnehaha Falls. Throughout the event, there will be a variety of games available to play including Ladder Ball, Bocce Ball, Spike Ball, and Cornhole. This will be a fun day for anyone who enjoys games, food, the outdoors, and art! |
sat. - Sat. July 9th- 16thThis is an excellent opportunity to experience the wonder of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, challenging yourself to a week-long adventure that is sure to be a life-long memory! Wild Hearts will provide all necessary equipment, food for the week and guides. We will also provide transportation out there and back and some training before the trip. Participants will be responsible for bringing appropriate clothing and food/money for food on the way there and back. |
sat. - Sat. July 9th- 16thAttention thrill-seekers: come skydiving with us! All are welcome, whether this is your first time jumping or you're an experienced skydiver. You will tandem jump with an instructor from 13,000 feet. Experience the thrill of freefall and an exhilarating canopy ride with only 10 minutes of instruction! The cost is $255/person for skydiving and transportation. An optional video/photo package is available. |

The Summer Friendship Match program begins in June and ends in August with the option to continue into the fall. The first Friendship Match meet up will be on June 10th. As part of our Summer Friendship Match, we have a scavenger hunt competition where the first 3 groups to complete the scavenger hunt will be awarded a prize! Make a new friend this summer |

Partner Events
Every other Sunday from 1:30–4:30 pm Join China Friends (an international student organization at the U of M) every other week to view portions of epic Bible movies with discussion afterwards. Have you ever wondered why the Bible is by far the best-selling book of all time? Maybe you have tried to read it, but you just didn’t get very far. Well, there is a genre of film-making that attempts to capture the story of the Bible! Each session includes a dinner from a different country or region of the world.
