12:30 PM–6 PM Willow River State Park is just across the border in Wisconsin. This is a short, very accessible hike with a nice falls and scenery. Come and enjoy exercise, fresh fall air, sunshine and a good time. Rides and trail snacks will be provided. If you are interested, register below! October 21st
6 PM–8:30 PM At our October monthly meal, our community of international students and volunteers will gather together for food and conversation as we celebrate fall and the changing of seasons! We will also have games and prizes to giveaway. Come join our international community, and bring your roommates too! Vegetarian and halal food options will be available. 12 PM–4:00 PM We want to give you the opportunity to experience Thanksgiving—one of America's favorite holidays—with a local Hospitality Center volunteer. Why do Americans celebrate Thanksgiving? And how do they usually celebrate? This event will show you and it will also give you the opportunity to try new foods (cranberry sauce!?) and meet new people. We strongly encourage you to sign up with another international student friend so that you can go together to a local volunteers home. If you are interested, register below! |
October 6th–8th
10/6 (4 PM)–10/8 (3 PM) Join us for a weekend getaway to the Northshore! We will will stay in a cabin near Lake Superior and spend all day Saturday exploring some of the main sites on the North Shore, including Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and the Bean and Bear Lakes. 6 PM–8:30 PM Do you want to try a fun fall tradition? Pumpkin carving is an activity where you can get creative and have a great time with friends. We'll provide all the pumpkins and carving supplies, along with some pie and chai! If you are interested, register below! |
October 14th
12 PM–6 PM Join us and enjoy the crisp fall air, nice views of Red Wing, the Mississippi River, and Lake Pepin. This hike is enjoyable and easily-accessible, taking just 30–45 minutes to reach the peak. Bring a jacket, water, snacks, and your phone to take lots of pictures! After the hike, we'll stop by downtown Red Wing to visit the Red Wing Museum and see the world's largest boot! If you are interested, register below! November 11th
