Host students for Thanksgiving and Easter holidays are a special time of year, a time for us to make memories with friends and family. Invite international students into your home to celebrate with them the joys of the season!
HOST FOR THANKSGIVING
International students would love to be invited into our homes to experience a traditional Thanksgiving meal and enjoy the day with our families. Last year, nearly 400 students enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner in an American home.
Students are eager to experience and learn about this American holiday. We have a wonderful opportunity to talk about what we are truly thankful for. Would you be willing to invite 2-3 students to share your Thanksgiving table?
HOST FOR EASTER
Invite students into your home, and share the story and tradition of Easter with them.
By sharing simple hospitality, you will give international students and scholars a rare opportunity: time inside an American home and a chance to see Christianity at work in your life. A typical guest is probably unfamiliar with what Easter is really about. They are eager to meet Americans and experience American customs and a meal in your home.
Share the reality of the Resurrection. All you have to do is offer them a ride to and from campus and a place at your table, no matter how simple your spread. Some will be interested in attending church with you, so don't hesitate to invite them to your Easter morning service.
