EVENTS, DAY TRIPS, & OVERNIGHTS

EVENTS

Through weekend events international students and volunteers have an opportunity to enjoy the best of what Minnesota has to offer through the varied seasons of the year. These events provide a platform for new friendships to form. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to follow up with students they meet at an event.

Events include the following:

Game Nights, Badminton, & BBQs
Summer and fall hikes
The Minnesota Zoo
Apple Orchards
Local festivals
Museums
Archery
Baking
Winter sports including tubing, skiing and ice skating
And much more!

DAY TRIPS

Explore Minnesota with international students. We offer year round opportunities for students to see and learn about Minnesota. We do nature walks, go to cultural landmarks, and take shopping trips. Join our students for a great experience!

Day Trips include the following:

Duluth
Taylor’s Falls
State Parks
The North Shore
Red Wing, Stockholm, or Lake Pepin
And much more!

OVERNIGHT TRIPS

These are special trips at The Hospitality Center. Although we see beautiful sites, explore nature, and have fun, these trips are about community. Overnight trips provide what day outings and other activities cannot: a variety of quality time driving, eating, exploring, living, cooking, and talking together. Overnights provide more time and space for relationships to begin. Consider joining us in a support or leadership role with a medium-sized group of international students.

Examples of Overnight Trips include the following:

Chicago in the late spring
Itasca State Park in the fall
Grand Portage in the summer
Duluth anytime of the year
Ely during the summer
